During our testing during our testing, we discovered that the iRobot S9+ cleans thoroughly and efficiently on a range of flooring surfaces, ranging from hard to medium-pile carpets and rug. It also did well on vinyl, and laminate flooring. It also did a nice job of maneuvering between furniture and objects although it did struggle with stairs, and could accidentally hit things like bookcases.
We loved the feature that the S9 automatically returns to its base to empty its dust bin once it's empty, which dramatically minimizes the need to be hands-on with maintenance. Its dust bag should last about 30 loads, or about a month or two, and you'll have to replace the filter every once every few months (which is actually recommended by iRobot). We've found that the iRobot S9+ doesn't get very loud during operation which makes it a good option for those living with pets or children.

It's easy to set it up and I would recommend fully charging the X8 Hybrid before running it for the first time. Install the Eufy Home application and follow the directions to connect it to your WiFi network. The app will help you to create a map of your home. It can identify the rooms, break large spaces into sub-rooms to facilitate open-plan living, and direct the X8 Hybrid towards specific areas that require cleaning at a particular time. Eufy's app is more intuitive and refined than other robots with similar scanning and mapping capabilities.

We were able watch television while it was cleaning without feeling like we were bombarded with noise.
Our testers loved how easy it was to set up and use, and were impressed by its capacity to take all the mess out of their floors. It was successful in cleaning pet hair, messes and carpeting, but it was a bit more difficult at removing stubborn stains. The app was easy to use and intuitive. They were able program the vacuum to clean regularly to cut down on manual work. The one downside is that it does not have any mapping technology or object avoidance, which means you can't send it to specific rooms or follow virtual boundaries (though magnetic boundary strips work).
The V3S Pro is another model from the iRobot's budget line. It has some impressive features at an affordable cost. It's also super quiet and has a large dust bin that can hold a lot of debris before it has to empty, so you don't have to be concerned about having to empty it every time you use it.
The V3S Pro did not make it into our top choices lists from reliable sources that conduct hands-on tests, however it was praised by Modern Castle, Smart Robot Reviews and The Ambient. They liked how easy it was to install and use, but they did note that the battery life was short and it didn't manage to stay clear of some of the most difficult messes we put it through.
