The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you are looking for a robot vacuum and mop that is middle-of-the-road. It has a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the advanced features found in its more expensive counterpart.
During testing it was able to handle dust and dry oats on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard floors. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to map out your home.
iRobot Roomba s9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the best-rated robots. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, including the dirt compartment integrated into the base of charging. The robot also learns your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.
Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is setup it can begin automated cleaning with a single button. You can opt for a general clean that prioritizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice, or opt for two thorough mappings of your space to ensure that your entire home gets a proper look.
This robot vacuum is effective on both bare floors and low-pile carpet. It can pick up pet hair and also suck large items up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It does have a hard time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot says it will improve with the next models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to hug walls and furniture. It's a great improvement over the hockey puck-like design of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be only incrementally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims the S9+ has an improved filtering system that stops tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating within your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the high price price.
Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology to map your interior. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundary markers, so that it can recognize areas that need extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a machine that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as effective as those found on more expensive models. The mopping system is superior because its spinning pads scrub floors more efficiently than an ordinary pad that vibrates.
The only drawback is the lack of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. But that's not a problem if you want to own one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than its competitors. Filling it takes just two or three cycles, even when you've got the most dirt.
For the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less abrasive than the higher-powered ones generate little noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without distraction. It will gently bump into a wall or furniture and then move on when it encounters one.
What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and can automatically transfer garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is not right for example, the water tank being empty or a canceled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.
You can also create and merge rooms to modify the way that Q Revo treats your abode. This feature is beneficial if you have different flooring in different areas of your house or when you have to frequently remove clutter, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum was also among the best performers in my test cleaning up debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first pass. It can also clean up spills that are wet however I would recommend cleaning them off using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo with all the features you can want. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean hard and carpet floors, as well as the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough staining. It also comes with self-cleaning bases that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also comes with a sensor that can detect obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling onto furniture and other objects.
The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob website Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still big. It has a height of more than two feet height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This model is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a full cleaning of about 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when required.
The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that works even when you're at home. It also has a smart routing function that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined route.
The X2 Omni is the top mopping robot. Its mop pads rotating scrub away tough stains, and its motor generates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It is equipped with a large rechargeable battery that lasts up to seven days. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end robot vacuum and mop that comes with a range of convenience features that you aren't likely to find on robots in this price. It can build detailed floor maps, identify different flooring types and is one of the few to automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These are nice features, but they also make the L10s more of a premium category. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners want.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's slim and tall and has a white-colored finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has a large bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner while moving around your home. Behind the pane at the front is additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which is used as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu located in the center of the control panel allows users to select cleaning options or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will bring up the settings menu of the app where you can alter the way that the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to map out your house. This helps the robot mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for families with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops are efficient, taking away 98.4% of debris on our wood, tile and carpet tests. However, it wasn't quite as great at tackling sand on the floor or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
